guest lecturer

In my role as a freelancing Industrial designer I have been invited to preparatory art and design schools and universities to teach introduction to design. There has been a mix between intensive and month long courses with a more in-depth focus on specific design challenges.

During my week as a guest lecturer at Ölands Folkhögskola and their design school department, the week was focused on introducing the students to Industrial Design as a subject and working with an industrial design assignment to apply some of the skills from the lectures. Many of the students are looking to proceed with their education at art and design universities around Sweden hence a part of my role was to support their application and portfolio work.

"The design school is a one-year preparatory design education for those who want to get a broad base within the various fields of work of the design subject. Many of the weeks are led by guest teachers specialised in their subject area within design, for example professional architects, designers and artists."

During my weeks as a guest lecturer at Konstfack, my assignment was to teach industrial design, CAD and 3D-printing for the year 2 and 3 students of the teachers education program.
