bicycle stands and supports for urban landscapes - sketches from cad
I worked full-time as a Consulting Industrial Designer for Saferoad Citylife AB on a 5-month fixed contract.
My role involved supporting the engineering team by converting their technical construction models into CAD models using Rhino. I managed a product catalog of hundreds of items, where I analyzed, refined, and converted files from construction-based models into visually representative models suitable for rendering. The original models lacked key elements necessary for rendering applications, such as joints, material assignments, and appropriate levels of detail.
These refined models were subsequently used for still-image marketing and later integrated into an Unreal Engine application. Throughout the project, I conducted regular sync meetings with the team and took responsibility for maintaining the project backlog, ensuring full transparency for the client regarding the project’s progress and timeline.
Saferoad Citylife develops, produces and sells products and solutions to create attractive urban environments. Railing and barrier solutions have been a large part of the company's offer since the 70s, which still exists and is being developed. The range has been supplemented over the years and today offers a wide range of furniture for public outdoor environments, weather protection for bus stops, bicycle parking and products for cycling.
